About Us

Sean Daniels and Larry Poindexter formed Partly Cloudy Productions in April of 2025 to develop and produce arresting, entertaining, and informative Theatre, Film and Television. The two had developed and worked on several productions and realized their work would be better sustained by combining forces in a new enterprise. Thus: Partly Cloudy Productions. Both bring energy, talent and a vast supply of experiences in writing, producing, directing and development of new works from Broadway to regional theatre to independent film and mainstream TV and movies.

SEAN DANIELS  is an internationally known theater director, writer, and Artistic Director, known for new work and innovative community-based leadership. He is a leading voice in using the arts to defeat addiction.

He is the Executive Director of the Recovery Arts Project. He is one of the few artists to be a NYTimes Critic Pick as a writer and a director. 

His play, The White Chip, a NYTimes Critics Pick and Drama League nominee for ‘Best Revival, has been performed around the world as a catalyst for community conversation and connection. It currently just closed Off-Broadway produced by Hank Azaria, Jason Biggs, and Tony winners John Larroqutte and Annaleigh Ashford. “Plays save lives in all kinds of ways. I would bet that The White Chip has and will.” — The New York Times. 

It is currently playing in London. 

As a playwright, his work has appeared at Traverse (Edinburgh), Tron (Glasgow), Merrimack Repertory (Massachusetts) City Theatre (Pittsburgh), Theatrical Outfit (Atlanta), Actors Theatre of Louisville and commercially at 59E59 (Off Broadway) and MCC (Off Broadway). 

As a director, his work has appeared at Manhattan Theatre Club and Lynn Redgrave Theatre (NYC) Southwark Playhouse and St. James (London), Club eX, Prince Hotel Shinagawa (Tokyo), Daegu Festival, Culture and Arts Theatre CT (Seoul) and many wonderful regional theatres around the US of A (Kennedy Center, Geffen, ACT, Arena, Old Globe, etc.). He is the former Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Dad’s Garage in Atlanta, Ga.   

In the arts world, Sean has been named “one of the top fifteen up & coming artists in the U.S., whose work will be transforming America’s stages for decades to come” & “One Of 7 People Reshaping and Revitalizing The American Musical” by American Theatre magazine.

Most importantly, he lives in sunny Bradenton, FL. with Veronika and Vivien.

Larry has produced, written, composed and developed theatre, Film, and TV in Los Angeles and NY for three decades. He developed and produced THE CHER SHOW for Broadway, and is currently developing SAVED BY THE BELL: THE MUSICAL for off-broadway. He produced the hybrid improv/scripted comedyTHIN ICE (with Hank Azaria)as well as UNEASY LISTENING with Alt-Pop band Populuxe. He co-wrote and directed DARK DESERT HIGHWAY a theatrical production from premiere Eagles tribute band, The Long Run. He wrote the music and lyrics and co-wrote the book for Ovation Nominee The Devil You Know, a rhythm & blues story. He is currently writing the new roadhouse musical CADILLAC JACK'S. 

Wendy Mcleod’s WOMEN IN JEOPARY at 59E59 in NYC in fall of 2026 will be the inaugural presentation from Partly Cloudy Productions.
